Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 September 2026 · Tyfrex Ltd, England & Wales · hello@tyfrex.co.uk

The short version

Tyfrex's DPD and Yodel desktop apps run entirely in your browser and store your driver data, pay rates, and cycle history in that browser's local storage on your own device. We don't operate a server that receives, stores, or has access to any of it. Nothing about your operation — driver names, rates, margins — is sent to Tyfrex.

What we collect

When you request a trial key, the "Get trial key" button opens an email addressed to hello@tyfrex.co.uk from your own mail client — we don't run a server-side form, so we only see your email address when you actually send that message, the same as any other email you'd send us. We use it to issue your licence key and for support.

We don't use analytics or tracking scripts on this site, and we don't sell or share your email address with anyone.

What stays on your device

All of the above lives in your browser's local storage. If you clear your browser data without exporting a backup first, it's gone — we can't recover it, because we never had it.

The one exception: AI document scanning

This applies only if you use the optional AI scanning features (reading a mileage log, a PCN, a damage report, or a right-to-work document) in the Tyfrex mobile app. The DPD and Yodel desktop apps linked from this site do not include this feature at all — nothing you do in them ever leaves your device.

Where the mobile app's scanning feature is used, the photo you take is sent directly from your browser to Anthropic's Claude API using an API key you provide yourself. Tyfrex's servers are not in that path — it's a direct request from your device to Anthropic. You can decline this at any time and enter details by hand instead. See Anthropic's privacy policy for how they handle that request.

Right to work & driver documents

If you use Tyfrex to track a driver's right-to-work document expiry, that's a date you or the AI scan enters — Tyfrex only tracks whether that date has passed. It is not a right-to-work check and doesn't replace the verification you're required to carry out under UK law.

Your rights

Since driver and operational data is stored on your own device under your control, you're the data controller for it — Tyfrex never holds a copy to act on. For your own account data (your email, licence records), you can ask us to access, correct, or delete what we hold by emailing hello@tyfrex.co.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters — most likely if a data-processing feature is added to the desktop apps — we'll update this page and note the date at the top.
