Operator drives themselves. Paid full carrier rate. Van in fleet for compliance, excluded from P&L costs.

Operator owns van. Driver pays van rent (deducted from payslip) and own fuel.

Daily van cost = fixed overhead per van per day (finance, insurance, tax). Fuel = variable cost per working day only.

Flag vans covering routes through London's congestion charge — the carrier pays a daily top-up, but you also pay the charge itself, and the two aren't always the same. Set both rates to match your fleet.
